GAMCHO

Acupuncture & Wellness

감초 (Gamcho) means licorice root in Korean — a harmonizing herb that brings sweetness and balance to every formula.

In Korea, someone who brings harmony, warmth, and ease to a group is often called “감초” — the person who makes everything feel better just by being there.

We believe healing should feel the same way: gentle, balancing, and supportive. Every treatment is personalized, designed to bring harmony to your body, your mind, and your day.

Care focuses on regulating the menstrual cycle, improving circulation, and supporting the body through IVF or IUI.

Initial Consultation & Treatment
$250 · 75 min
Your first visit is a full clinical intake and treatment. We take time to understand your health history, your fertility journey, and your goals — whether you're preparing for IVF, IUI, egg freezing, or trying to conceive naturally. From there, we build a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. No generic protocol. Just focused, individualized care from the very first session.

Follow-Up Treatment
$180 · 60 min
Each follow-up builds on the last. We track your body's response, adjust your treatment as needed, and continue supporting the key areas that matter most for fertility — hormonal balance, uterine health, stress regulation, and overall reproductive function. Consistency is what moves the needle, and every session brings you closer to your goal.

Fertility responds to preparation, not chance. Our 3-month, 12-session program is designed to support your body before IUI, IVF, egg freezing, or natural conception — giving you the strongest possible foundation going in.

Founder of GAMCHO New York

I grew up in Korea, where natural living and caring for your body were simply part of daily life. That early foundation led me to Beijing — the birthplace of Asian traditional medicine — where I completed five years of bachelor’s training and three years of master’s work at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, one of the most respected medical universities in the field. Those eight years of intensive medical education shaped the way I understand the body, how I diagnose, and how I support long-term healing.

After graduating, I continued my path in New York City, building over a decade of hands-on clinical experience across a wide range of settings — from high-volume pain management clinics to high-end integrative wellness environments, including The Well. That breadth of experience taught me how to adapt classical medicine to modern life, and how to deliver care that is structured, consistent, and deeply personalized.

Today, I am the founder of Gamcho New York, a practice that brings my full journey together — blending classical Korean and Chinese medicine with a calm, modern, patient-centered approach. Opening Gamcho as a woman, minority, and immigrant founder has been a meaningful milestone, and this practice is built with intention, gratitude, and a deep commitment to care that is personal, consistent, and clinically grounded.
